Akwaaba (welcome) to Ghana! We will pick you up from Kotoka International Airport and whisk you to our cozy boutique accommodations in the Osu neighborhood of Accra.
A Buoyant welcome gift will await you, and as you settle into your home for the week, we’ll be preparing for tonight’s welcome dinner.
You will get your first taste of Ghana with authentic dishes for dinner at one of Accra’s best local dining experiences.
After dinner, we’ll hit the Accra streets for our first night out.Cheers!

Accra City Tour
Today we will explore the best of Accra. Our city tour will take us to famous landmarks like the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial, Independence Square, and the W.E.B DuBois Center. We will learn the history of this beautiful country and its relationship with famous Pan-Africanists.

Aburi Waterfall & ATV Experience
It's time for some relaxing and thrilling adventures today.
We're heading outside Accra to the Eastern Region to experience some of the most scenic parts of Ghana. On the list? A beautiful waterfall, off-road quad biking, and lunch at a locally-loved resort.

Makola Market and New Year's Eve Celebration
You probably already know that Ghana in December is lit, but tonight will prove it.
During the day, join us on a morning stroll through Makola Market. We will end our visit at one of our favorite boutiques in Accra, The Shop, where you can enjoy a light lunch.
Tonight, we'll head out for a night on the town to celebrate the beautiful new year ahead.

Today is an entirely free day to explore Ghana! We recommend hitting the markets, popping into a local chop bar, doing a batik-making workshop, or checking out a rooftop bar.

Cape Coast & Kakum National Park
This journey marks our official return home. We’ll celebrate with a transformative visit to Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park.
At Kakum, we’ll hike to the famous treetop canopies, and at the ‘castle,’ we will follow the same path as our ancestors did during their last moments on the coast of West Africa before walking through the ‘Door Of No Return.’
This part of the trip will be powerful and emotional for many. Our expert guide will show us around the ‘castles,’ sharing crucial stories of our ancestral past. After the tour, we’ll have time to reflect with an oceanside lunch.

Boat Cruise
Today we’re heading to the Volta region to turn up together one last time! Our send-off boat party will be one for the books. Picture us cruising along the Volta with music, drinks, and good food.

Today, you'll say 'see ya' later' to your new travel friends. Although our time together in Ghana has ended, the memories (and photos) will last forever.
Pricing
The trip price, $4,800, is based on single occupancy. Bookings for this trip open in May 2026.
Entry Requirements
A valid passport with at least 6 months beyond the trip dates and two consecutive empty passport pages (not including endorsement pages). Learn more about Ghana’s visa entry requirements here.
Activity Level
Travelers should be comfortable walking up to three miles on walking tours, moderate hiking with a canopy walk at Kakum National Park, and riding on a boat. Please email us with any questions regarding activity levels for this trip.
Airport Info
Travelers should book round-trip flights to/from Kotoka International Airport (ACC). We recommend purchasing a flight that arrives no later than 3 PM on the day of arrival to allow ample time for navigating the airport, customs, and traveling to the hotel before our welcome dinner.
